There was a great atmosphere here in St. Conleth's as both children and staff dressed up for our annual Halloween Walk. There were lots of ghosts, and witches to be seen and many of the staff joined the fun as : Cruella de Vil and 101 Dalmatatians!
The Junior Infants from Room 5 entertained us with Halloween Poems and wonderful Ghost Buster dancing at our Halloween assembly this Friday morning. They looked wonderful in their costumes, dressed as witches, ghosts etc. It is hard to believe that they have achieved so much in a few short weeks. Well done to all.
All of the children enjoyed themselves on Tuesday and Wednesday when they sampled a wide variety of delicious fruits and vegetables.
Everyone looked fabulous on Friday for dress up day for Maths.
The boys in Room 7 had great fun today making gingerbread biscuits. Some of us were lucky enough to get to taste their wares!
Thursday October 5th was National Tree Day. We did lots of activities about trees. We went on a tree hunt around the school and tried to spot as many different types of trees as we could. We got a lovely surprise when we went to the school garden. The fairies are back and they left us some lovely Autumn surprises.
The children in Room 10 were very busy last month with their teacher baking bread in the Science Room. You can now look forward to freshly baked bread every morning!
Room 11 were busy red hens last month. We read the story of the Little Red Hen and as a result decided to make some bread. Luckily Mary was on hand to take the lead!
Thank you to all the boys and girls who raised money for our two charities last month, CARA and Run for Adam Burke. We collected €900 and a very big 'Thank You' to everyone.
